Bond Morgan has won an award from Hampshire trend forecasting company, 'Mudpie'. Bond, a fashion design graduate from Southampton Solent University created an all organic fashion project for the final year of her degree to win the award. Bond said, "I wanted to create a series of multi purpose garments that adopt the ethical values of fair trade and promote ethical fashion."

Her design project was inspired by the mantra 're-do, re-cycle and re-use'. "I used organic and recycled fabrics which I sourced from markets, scrap stores and sustainable textile specialists, said Bond. "I've been interested in sustainable fashion for a while, and undertook an internship at the London based ethical clothing company People Tree, which is being introduced to John Lewis soon."

John Lewis already stock ethical jewellery and organic pyjamas in Womenswear and organic cotton t-shirts have been a popular feature of the menswear department this Summer. Actress Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in Harry Potter, has collaborated with People Tree on a youth range of the Women's fairtrade label. Final Major Collection

My Final Major concept is called ‘Metamorphosis’. This describes a concept that creates multi-purpose garments influenced by the Fair Trade movement and also adopts the idea of transforming the garments into different silhouettes to influence people to buy less and not to contribute to the throwaway fast fashion market, but to the ethical revolution.

This collection promotes adaptability and explores the various functions that garments can serve, combining quality and protection. The garments transform to perform different roles, such as changing the silhouette by using different fastenings which would create a different look. I have been inspired by two designers, Lucy Orta- who has designed garments that transform into a living space and Hussein Chalayan who has designed garments that transformed into interior furniture and other objects. The collection reinforces the ethical values of: re-do, re-cycle and re-use.

Multi-zip dress- The open ended zips can be un-zipped to change the length. Fair-trade and organic fleece jersey with recycled coloured jersey.

Multi-strap dress- Neck piece can be re-moved. Fair-trade and organic cotton.

Multi-strap dress- Un-buttoned.

Laser embroidered jacket- Un-bleached fair-trade and organic.
